These terms are the agreement between you and whales.fyi. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
whales.fyi is a calculator. You describe the items you care about, how much you value them, and the deals available to you; it works out which combination of those deals gives you the most of what you want for a given budget. It works for any set of currencies and conversions — games are just the common case.
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 if you are in the EEA or UK. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use whales.fyi with a parent or guardian's permission. By using it you confirm you meet these requirements.
You can use the calculator without an account. To save your work you sign in with Google or Discord. You are responsible for keeping that provider account secure — anyone who controls it controls your whales.fyi data. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else. One person, one account; do not share your account with others.
The core calculator is free and stays free. A paid subscription adds convenience features, currently multiple sheets, at $3.99 per month or $14.99 per year.
Downgrading or losing paid access does not delete your data, but you may not be able to edit sheets beyond the free plan's limit until you remove some or resubscribe.
Your sheets are yours. We claim no ownership of the items, deals, points or names you enter. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store, copy and display your content back to you, and to show it to other people if you choose to export or share it.
You are responsible for what you put in. Do not upload anything unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important — the export feature exists for exactly this, and we are not a backup service.

Please read this one. whales.fyi works out an answer from the numbers you give it. If your deals, prices, quantities or points are wrong or out of date, the answer will be wrong too. Bundled example sheets for real games are provided for convenience, were accurate only as of the date recorded in them, and go stale as games change their offers.
The output is information, not advice. It is not financial advice, and it is not a recommendation to spend money. Deciding what to buy is your decision alone, and you should check current prices and contents in the game itself before you spend anything. We are not responsible for purchases you make.
whales.fyi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher or developer. Game names, currency names and item names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the things you are calculating with. No claim to those trademarks is made.
We aim to keep whales.fyi running, but it is offered without any uptime guarantee, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. If we ever shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your sheets.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only to the extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or money you spent in a game. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Consumers keep any statutory rights that cannot be waived.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your breach of these terms.
You may stop using whales.fyi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that we are legally required to act on, and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. Sections 5 through 12 survive termination.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and for material changes we will notify signed-in users in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of whales.fyi is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of their own country of residence, and mandatory local consumer law continues to apply to them.
If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms to someone else; we may transfer them to a successor if the service changes hands. Together with the Privacy Policy, these terms are the entire agreement between us.
